For the first assignment, due on 02/15, I’d like you to prepare a brief (1 – 3 page)  scientific autobiography.  It would be interesting to know some of the following things:
·         Is either of your parents a scientist/engineer?

·         Did you discuss science/engineering in your home?

·         Did you have scientific/engineering toys as a child (Legos, chemistry sets, microscopes)?

·         Did you like science/engineering as a child?

·         What were your ambitions in science/engineering in grade school?  In high school?  At present?

·         What did you like/dislike most about science/engineering in grade school?  In high school?  At present?

·         What did you like/dislike most about science/engineering education in grade school?  In high school?  At present?

 

In writing this autobiography, I'd like you to look at a few existing scientific autobiographies to get an idea of how they are written, what their tone is, how the story flows, etc.  Please, cite the sources you used in creating your autobiography.
